Position Summary

 

The Lead Technology Support Specialist ensures reliable and efficient daily operation and support of NBOME desktop computers and application software. The position is responsible for the deployment and support of all NBOME-owned personal computer, mobile devices, and associated software and peripherals. Based on end-user requests entered into the Help Desk ticketing system, the Lead TSS assigns daily/tactical technology support tasks to a small team of Technical Support Specialists to aid and troubleshoot desktop software and hardware needs, including desktop configuration, network connectivity, meeting and conference setup, and maintaining hardware and software licensing inventories. The Lead TSS position does not hire/fire nor do employee performance reviews, but the Lead TSS has input to Supervisor regarding performance of the Technology Support Specialists.

 

Principal Accountabilities

·         Assign daily work tasks to a small team of Technical Support Specialists in the Chicago and Conshohocken offices. Assign work tasks based on user-submitted Help Desk tickets.

·         Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve major desktop, networking, and related system issues.

·         Support end-users in all proactive technology needs, including configuration and setup of new machines, assisting in conference and committee meeting events, and identifying ways to improve equipment or software usage.

·         Coordinate with the AVP, Information Technology in the efficient management of computer acquisition, deployment, and other life-cycle management processes of NBOME-owned personal computer equipment, mobile devices, and associated software and peripherals.

·         Ensure desktop software licensing is updated and maintained.

·         Other duties as requested by supervisor or senior leadership staff.

 

Qualifications

·         Minimum of 5 years working in a direct technology support position.

·         A+ or Net+ certification, MSCE, CompTIA or equivalent experience is desired.

·         Dependable, reliable and accountable team player.

·         Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.

·         Organized, self-starting, and personable with the ability to multitask and communicate well.

·         Ability to follow set procedures, and a desire for accuracy in job performance.
